Busan Travel Diary - Part II

Day four in South Korea, I woke up dizzy and disoriented, trying to recall the events of last night, hoping to get a hint of how I got into the room and slept safe and sound. To my dismay, my drunken mind does not have a clue, the soju and beer and rice wine has really gotten into me. I decided to shake the feeling off, and then I found baby ha yun on my side, already awake and hyper doing her tricks, and that gave me a refreshing feeling again. To my other side was Trish, sleeping soundly probably unaware also of what happened.

As part of my travel itinerary, I pledged that I will do a travel run, so despite the struggle to get up, the hangover headache, and the rainy weather, we somehow managed to put on our running shoes and do a five-kilometer morning run in Busan. The runners lane, side by side with the bikers lane, is really amusing, I found myself wishful thinking that we have this kind of runners area back home.

In the afternoon, we all went to Grand Apple Hotel, the venue for Ha Yun's first birthday celebration. We were ushered to the dressing/waiting rooms, where Trish and I found the "Bride waiting room". The room was full of flowers, with fancy chandelier and girly furnitures. It felt like we just walk in a fairy tale with a promise of happily ever after.

When everything was ready, we found ourselves in the buffet restaurant where the event proper will take place. It was a feast for the eyes. The food is really good and there are so many options. Ofcourse I dig on my favorites - Pasta, Shrimp, Desserts. A perfect place indeed!

Then we witnessed how Koreans celebrate their first birthday. My favourite part is one of their tradition wherein the baby would pick up an item that attracts him or her. The item that the child picks up are said to predict the child's future. The items presented were gavel, stethoscope, calculator, computer mouse and others, which representations were explained clearly to us by the good-looking-host, who caught Trish's eyes. And to our surprise, Baby HaYun picked up the calculator. Like mother like daughter!

As mentioned the good-looking-host caught the heart of Trish, they even have their moment. It was like destiny is acting on them, when he pick up the number of Trish and called her up front to give some wish for Ha yun. Could he be the one?

After the party, we had to go back to Seoul. I got a bit sad that we have to bid goodbye to the Kim family that soon, yet still happy for it was a wonderful two days spent with them. And while we wait for our train schedule, we stayed first at another cozy coffee shop called " A twosome place", with just the perfect music playing on background while we reminisce on all the amazing sights we have seen, the people we have encountered, and the memories that will be etched in our hearts forever.
