Singapore Travel Diary - Part I

Singapore is such a feast for the eyes. I am lucky to have my first overseas travel at this beautiful city. I went with my friends Ho, Moh and Jernold, and we have preferred to go with no definite travel itinerary.  We instead roam around the streets by ourselves and whatever happens, happens.
For our first night, we were up and about searching for the Marina Bay Sands Tower and the infamous Merlion. We decided to utilize the train which I find really convenient since it is fast, easy to access and high class.
We alight at Raffles place and thus began our walking tour. The view of the Marina Bay is truly a sight to behold. We went around and passed by the Fullerton Hotel which has a magnificent European type architecture. We also spotted  Magnum Cafe. Then finally saw the symbol of the city state - the Merlion. The scenery even got better when the light show on the Marina bay tower started. What a way to welcome us!
On our way back to the hostel, we ended up about 20,000 steps based on our trusty pedometer. Good good start.

For the next day, we decided to see the nature side of Singapore. We ride via cable car to Sentosa. Then walked around resort's world where you'll find world-class attractions such as the Universal Studios, Marine Life park and Sea Aquarium. We also took a relaxing stroll to Siloso Beach. Then visited Mt. Faber, one of the oldest park in Singapore where you will enjoy panoramic views of the city landscape and skyline. We also found the bell of happiness and we all took our turn of ringing it in hopes of bringing more happiness to our lives.
This side of Singapore are just a few of the sights that will make you fall in love with the city even more. This day is also one of my favorite part as it makes me genuinely happy to discover different culture, explore new places and observe the people go about their own lives.
