Boracay Travel Diary

To celebrate my 25th birthday, I just wanted to slow down and relax, sit on the sand, stare at the sky, thus we made decision to discover Boracay Island.

We had an incredible four days and three nights on the island, though we did have a rough start due to bad weather. Good enough that we got to book a nice hotel - Isla Gecko, which we got on promo. It is situated near the beach, the care takers were friendly and accomodating, and the place is clean and comfy.

True to what it's famous for, the Boracay Island has really fine, white sand. You will find it impossible to sit still and relax along the shores of Boracay, because there's just too many things to do. I got this uncontrollable urge to see as much and eat as much as I am physically capable of during that time, however water activities got cancelled thus missing on the chance to go parasailing, helmet diving, and snorkeling.
Despite that, our happy vibe did not wear off, we decided to swim and enjoy the incredible moment of waves crashing against us unstoppable.

And while we are not taking a walk along the infamous beach, we are out and about wandering around D'mall and D' Talipapa, looking for a place to eat. We indulge in fresh seafoods, cooked deliciously.  We also looked for the must-try Jonah's shake. We tried the best-seller choco-peanut and mango-banana flavor, and indeed they are the best.

In line with all the food talk, just a friendly tip, never-ever accept a free buffet offer. Yes they serve really good food and made our tummy happy, but once they start sales-talking, it will take almost 4 hours wasted time. Anyway, there goes our 'what happens in Bora, stays in Bora'

Another thing I really enjoyed during this trip, is the night life. Having one to two drink near the beach shore, listening to live bands while hearing the calming sound of waves, and watching fire dancers showcase such amazing talents.

This has got to be one of the best birthdays I had. Not only that I got to spend it on this beautiful island, more so I got accompanied by my best friends. God has been blessing me with so much, Really thankful for everything.

What happens in Boracay, stays in Boracay. Will definitely come back and make more memories I won't ever forget.

♥ Ade
